Ohio has awarded $3.25 million in historic preservation tax credits to help transform the century-old Cincinnati Club building into a vibrant mixed-use development led by Sunflower Development Group and Block Real Estate Services.

Part of $16.9 million in credits granted to eleven Cincinnati projects this week, the Cincinnati Club redevelopment is set to bring 99 market-rate apartments along with new office, retail, restaurant, and event spaces to 30 Garfield Place. The $49.2 million project could begin construction this summer, signaling fresh momentum for downtown’s historic fabric. Other projects benefiting from the state’s historic tax credit round include the Duttenhoffer Building, the Doctors’ Building, and the Atlas National Bank Building, all contributing to an estimated $518 million in private investment across Ohio.
