Historic Phoenix Security Building Planned for $135 Million Transformation

Sunflower Development Group is partnering with Phoenix-based CivicGroup on a $135 million adaptive reuse project that will transform the historic Security Building in downtown Phoenix into a 255-room hotel.

Originally built in 1928, the Security Building will undergo extensive preservation and restoration to uncover historic architectural features while introducing modern hospitality amenities, including 15,000 square feet of meeting space and multiple dining concepts. The project will give new life to one of downtown Phoenix’s remaining historic landmarks while contributing to the continued growth and revitalization of the city’s urban core.
