KU Gateway District Reaches Major Construction Milestone

The University of Kansas Gateway District recently marked a major construction milestone with a topping-out ceremony celebrating completion of the east-side stadium steel structure.

The milestone represents continued progress on the transformative Gateway District development, which includes enhancements to David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium as well as new hospitality, housing, retail, dining, and entertainment opportunities surrounding the venue. Once complete, the mixed-use district will help create a vibrant year-round destination for the University of Kansas and the greater Lawrence community.
