Wyandotte County’s ambitious $1 billion development plan will bring unique attractions to the region, highlighted by Sunflower Development Group’s Margaritaville Hotel, part of the $848 million Homefield project. Set to open this summer, the 229-room beach-themed hotel will feature several tropical dining options, an indoor pool, arcade, and a resort-style outdoor pool.
Other notable projects include the immersive art experience Atlas9, the new American Royal headquarters with vast exhibition and education spaces, and the Rock Island Bridge’s conversion into an entertainment venue. These developments aim to draw tourism and solidify the area as a Midwest entertainment hub.
