KCK high-rise gets TIF, development approval

Kansas City-based Sunflower Development Group cleared a major hurdle in boosting multifamily housing stock in Kansas City, Kansas.

The $40 million, eight-story project will include 18 studios, 103 one-bedrooms and eight two-bedrooms. The historic Russian Hill neighborhood, which is adjacent to Strawberry Hill, has never had a high-rise apartment building. The first two stories will be underground and set aside for 120 parking spaces.
