Sunflower Begins Expansion of Rooks County Health Center

2018-08-10

Sunflower Development Group

Sunflower Development Group recently broke ground on a Phase II expansion of the Rooks County Health Center (RCHC) in Plainville, KS. Opened in 2017, the center was first home to an MRI and nuclear medicine operation—but it soon became clear that we had an opportunity to expand both the building and its service offerings.

The 11,000-square-foot addition will house RCHC’s rehabilitation services and is scheduled to open by the end of 2019. Patients will be able to visit the facility for a wide range of services: speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy and more. It will be the first facility in Plainville to offer these services, and our partners at RCHC believe that it will allow patients to receive the care they need without needing to travel outside the area.

In its short history, RCHC has been recognized at the state and national levels for its commitment to patient care. The center has created several initiatives in response to common health concerns, such as after-hours screenings and walk-in testings. The growing demand for these services has been the driving force behind RCHC’s Phase II expansion.

We appreciate our continued partnership with RCHC and look forward to opening this brand new facility for the Plainville community.
