A Kansas City developer next month could unlock incentives to score a strike in demolishing the former Mission Bowl bowling alley and carrying out a $29.9 million apartment project.

Sunflower Development Group seeks the city’s approval on a redevelopment plan for a five-story, 161-apartment development at 5399 Martway St., where an April 2015 fire ravaged the 24-lane bowling alley, leaving its 1958 building vacant and last year condemned.
