In 2020, Somera Road hired Sunflower Development Group to act as their Historic Tax Credit consultant in order to secure HTCs for the historic Stutz building in downtown Indianapolis.
The 400,000 square feet Stutz was originally built to manufacture the Stutz Bearcat and Blackhawk vehicles. As they company grew, they built 5 identical buildings connected by a series of walkways to increase the production capacity.
The Stutz will be redesigned to cater to the way people work today. The redevelopment will celebrate the building’s history by focusing on creativity and craftsmanship, while including today’s modern amenities.
