Sunflower Development Group worked with the National Parks Service to designate Traders on Grand as a historic building. Originally the Kansas City headquarters for Traders National Bank, the building had fallen into disrepair and was half-vacant by the time we purchased it in 2016.

Sunflower Development Group partnered with Block Real Estate Services to redevelopment the Trader’s on Grand building. Now designated a Class A+ mixed-use property and rebranded “The Grand “combines 11,000 square feet of commercial and retail space along with 202 multi-family apartment units. Each unit features high-end finishes, open floor plans and access to luxury amenities, such as a rooftop pool, elevated dog park and more.

The project was funded through a variety of federal and state incentives, many of which were Historic Tax Credits. Opening in 2018, The Grand promises to be an exciting, profitable addition to the downtown Kansas City community.
